============================================
Well my favriote first Tongue

This section will help you advance your skill in Maya. These tutorials
below present a way to learn and improve your skill. But before you
start reading this you may want to actually try the tutorials that come
with maya. Unlike other tutorials for programs they are indepth and
are quite helpfull.

Begainner Modeling

Modeling a Robot
http://www.3dtotal.com/ffa/tutorials/maya/tut/mazertut1_main.htm
A good tutorial that dives you into Maya, though this tutorial it does not
hold your hand all the way through, but it lets you be creative time to
time. Requires about 30 minutes - 2 hours to accomplish.

Modeling a Car
http://www.mtmckinley.net/tut11.html
This tutorial is not highly descriptive and requires you to adjust and judge
the meanings of the words for your self. But the pictures are well
done and you can figure what to do by them pretty easily.
Requires about 45 minutes - 2 hours.

Modeling a Ball
http://www.medialab.chalmers.se/tutorials/maya/Pages/Lesson1.html
http://www.medialab.chalmers.se/tutorials/maya/Pages/Lesson2.html

This has a little more then modeling but it gives you a real basic
step in to piece wise modeling. You also animate the ball in the end
enjoy. This is a 2 piece tutorial
Requires about 20 - 40 minutes to do.

Intermediate Modeling

Modeling a Sword Blade
http://www.fractalice.com/tutorials/maya/sword.asp
This tutorial requires you to have some indepth knowledge on getting
around maya already. If you don't then you basically will have some
troubles to begin with.
Requires about 20 - 1 hour to accomplish.

Modeling a Space Ship
http://www.medialab.chalmers.se/tutorials/maya/Pages/Lesson5.html
A decent tutorial that xplains the procedures quite well. But its ment
for an older version of maya so you have to convert the actions
to the newer. So this may require a little knowledge on your part
to know how to. Other wise a great tutorial
Requires about 45 minutes - 2 hours.

Creating Fillets (Spacial Bending)
http://www.gmask.com/tutorials/fillets/fillets.shtmlNot a very descriptive tutorial but its pictures gives you enough idea
of what is going on. Good tutorial to learn how to create a more
realistic spacial bending then trying to create the effect your self.
Gives you basic explanation of the fillets tool.
Requires about 20 - 30 minutes.

Creating Terrain (basic)
http://www.cgrenaissance.com/tutorials/terrain.htmA really simple and quick way in creating terrain. By using displacement
maps, and hieght fields. A good way to create a quick terrain for
movies or etc.
Requires about 10 - 40 minutes.

Advanced Modeling

Nurbs Car Rim
http://www.alias.com/eng/community/tutorials/maya_wheel_tutorial/index.jhtml
Creating a Car rim with nurbs, and putting your Fillet tool in action.
Really well done but pictures aren't a good example of how to do
process, requires you really need to be indepth in what you are
doing. But gives you a new way to handle artistic creations
Requires about 40 minutes - 2 hours to do.

Nurb Chicken
http://www.gignews.com/kappblackcock.htm
This tutorial is quite undetailed in procedures, but it shows you tricks
throughout the tutorial on procedures you learn when trying out
the tutorial. It gives you everything you need and the rest is up
to you.
Requires about 50 minutes - 2 hours to do.

Begainner Animation

Animating Arm using IK handles
http://www.3dgate.com/techniques/000605/0605maya_arm.html
A really basic tutorial on how to animiate an arm using IK handles.
Requires about 30 - 50 minutes.

Advanced Rendering

Non Realistic Shading
http://www.alias.com/eng/community/tutorials/maya_non_real_shading/index.jhtml
A really nice tutorial that gives you a new way in coloring. A good way
to create 3D animie characters. Really well done and gives you a
overview of how it works and the process involved. It doesn't get
2 indepth but if you reached this far you should easily pick it up.

programs. Teaches you how to make a realistic 3D wall that isn't
just 2D.

http://www.petersharpe.com/Tutorial12.htm
A good tutorial if your into creating rooms and proper lighting for them.
